Bad Cards

bad topic There are some Cards which i really dislike. 1. Wooden Fence This cards seem to me like a “copy” of the stone wall. Better Wooden Fence: def 1 hp 20 but then it is like wall of wisdom…… when i wrote this DarkRune added wall of wisdom i think…. 2. Trebuchet 2 Stone 56 sec : 10 damage to a building |

These cards where meant to be improved, when the game-engine gets some more features:

aha ok, there is another point: we can create different kinds of “catapults” highCost/highCooldown but a high range which one should be the trebuchet? |
In the real middle ages it was mainly a point of accuracy – not of range or damage. The problem was to hit at all :) Trebuchets had a much better accuracy as catapults. |
should the Trebuchet now be a highCost/highCooldown unit? in a card game we should ignore accuracy, |

I think it is fine as it, when it gets the range. Its medium cost, highCooldown. We could, however, give the Trebuchet range 3 and build a Catapult that does more damage but has only Range 2. We also would need to lower the Trebuchet-Damage in this case.
That’s exactly what I thought. |

do you think that a range of 7 would be OP?(overpowered)? ? |
I think a range of more than 2 for any of these units would be OP. The elven sniper isn’t bad because it only has a damage of 1. These ranged units are going to be very strong because the map is so small. Midfield is only 1 rank wide, so I can activate a ranged unit in rank 3 of my kingdom and hit a unit in your kingdom still. Imagine a unit with a range of 3 that I put in rank 2 behind my wall. This unit will be extremely hard to deal with when it has a 0/3/40 blocker in front of it, not to mention other units protecting it. This will be the strategy for these type of units. |

hmm, maybe you are right. And you are right of course we can create both types of cards if we want. |
I don’t think the cost is that big of a deal either though because wood is a very easy resource to acquire. If his damage was 2, then he would be OP because he could quickly take out some exchange/resource units. |
