to help people from not having to scroll up and down repeatedly to check on their opponent, their should be a miniature copy of the board on the right hand side that shows buildings artifacts and units on the field in their respective positions, hence minimap. This would also help take up some of that white space.

This is a great idea. Havent thought about that yet. Goes immediately to my wishlist :)

another thing that can be used to take up space! A game timer so you can keep track of how long you have until the hour is up.
also a clock on the site would be usefull so we could just report times with that clock.
