Stupid Question

What is the criteria for winning a duel?

You win if either:

• your opponents population is reduced to 0
• you get 5 victory points

Theoretically you can win on a timeout. This happens if neither side wins till an hour has passed. In this case the player with the most VP’s wins – if it is a tie, its the player with the most Population. I have, however, never seen this happening in a real game.
