New Cards

RaptorAZ has made 3 new artworks, which also means there are 3 new cards for your decks – hurray. The card ideas has been contributed by Psyclone – He has given me a spreadsheet with looooots of new cards.
The good thing is, most of them are already codeable. It’s now mostly a problem to find the time for doing the artworks. So big thanks again to Raptor, for volunteering another three beautiful images and to Psyclone for the card ideas.

Two of them are from the rather dark side of Fantasy Cards, but for those Knights and Paladins of you there, a nice and shiny new helmet is also available.

Now check them out. They are

Rule Changes

There has been a lot of discussion in the chat and on the forums lately. We settled with the following agreements:

  • Health now works like in most other game. You can restore it, but you can’t go over the original value. Except … with some special cards.
  • Armor is now capped at 7. So no more immortal Knights marching against these poor Dragons :)
  • We still work on the Power-ranking. We switched to a nearly logarithmic concept: weak and balanced cards have 0 – 3, strong cards have 5, very strong cards have a power of 10. This still very experimental and might change again.

What does Power Ranking do?
Honestly, nothing yet. It’s just a system to display the game strength of a card. You find it in the brackets behind a card’s name. There you see, how strong the card is. The same rating is used for the decks and sums up the power of the individual cards, they consist of.

Later on, there will be various “Lobbies” or “Game Modes” in which you can play vs. anther player – where both decks mustn’t exceed a specific power value (say 50, 60 or 70).

I like the recent card additions, but I want to encourage you guys to do more of the basic resource cards — I think just getting the basic infrastructural layout of the game operational will help to make it more playable (and make all the creatures and items make more sense).

can you give some exampels for “basic-cards” that are missing?
