Mana Decks
|

This is a rough put together rather quickly yet has proved pretty useful in almost every battle, granted your opponent isn’t running the same deck. Mono Mana (30 Cards total) 1x Stone Quarry Starting Hand: I use this deck completely as an aggro deck and as can be seen by the Ancient Wisdoms and Mind Warriors, if certain cards get played in the correct order your entire deck will be ran through pretty quick, hence the lack of monsters for people who don’t understand the use of mostly spells. Please comment and feel free to make suggestions about this. |

That’s a good deck, though I wonder why you don’t combine your mana-spam with "call lightning. It grows in power the more mana you have. On a more general note, which is the best mana source?
My personal preference is the magic rock, simply because it can stop rushes. |

I tried this deck with Call Lightning; however, since it drains all of your mana it prevents you from immediately using Plague or Lightning Strike. Mind Warrior, then Plague, then some Strikes, you can easily take anyone down. On the general note, I prefer Magic Rock and Enchanted Forest. I throw them on the third line with the Forest, Iron Mine, and Stone Quarry to protect myself and leave one to two slots open for the Mind Warrior to rush through for early population attacks. Also, when playing against AI opponents like Teraall and Igrim, their attacks come from the left side of the board, leaving the right side open for Mind Warriors to crash straight through, especially with the instant arrival that they have. Arina I wouldn’t use because it wouldn’t last as long as a Magic Rock which has 40 HP. Mana Streams are annoying with the long build time and only 3 charges when Enchanted Forest and Magic Rock take almost half of the time and are unlimited. In this deck, I use Mana Streams only to push to the extra mana that I need for an extra Lightning Strike at the same time as I use another from some Magic Rock or Enchanted Forest mana. Also, another reason for lack of Arina would be I have no use for gold in this deck. I did test around with substitution and threw in some more spells of dissolve gold, I believe that’s the name, dissolve all gold from both players and draw a card, this proved to only be useful when playing against larger decks with dragons and whatnot that require a decent amount of gold to get onto the field. |

Arina’s chains-another approach to mana-decks in 30 cards Unlike other mana decks “Arina’s chains” doesn’t use magic rocks or enchanted forests. it uses Arina as a mana source instead. Therefor it’s vulnerable to rush decks and anything taking other units. It however does exactly that, as it uses a rushable military and lots of chains. As it needs no storage expansions you won’t have to wait to long to draw a card. Because it tends to accumulate a lot of mana in the mid- to endgame that is not needed for anything it finishes of opponents with call lightning.
It is much more balanced with the new rules- it doesn’t get crushed that easily anymore. |
